One evening in November when I was home all alone, I was sitting at my computer and answering emails when suddenly, as I was typing, there was this big hard slap against my right wrist. The sound was so loud that my parrot started jumping around in his cage and going nuts. The sting was so bad that I had to turn on more lights to see if I had a big red mark on my right wrist. I had never ever experienced anything of that sort before in my life!!

As I was trying to closely look at my arm to try to figure out just what happened, I felt this "presence" of icy coldness go right past me from the right where I was slapped, creep very slowly across my chest as if part of me was stepping into a deep freezer, then continuing to the left side of me, and finally exiting from the left side of me. Now that really freaked me out!

The next day I got a phone call very early in the morning that my mother had been rushed to the hospital in very critical condition. After the doctor did some tests, they determined she had a bleeding ulcer and had to do emergency surgery on her. She was fine several days after that. Thinking about old superstitions, I thought maybe that slap on the wrist was some sort of sign that my mother was very ill. She was fine after that and I still try to figure out just what that slap was all about. I know one thing, I hope I never have to go through anything like that again.
