A couple of days after Christmas, my friend and I were
sitting at the table sipping away at our coffee when out of the corner of my
eye, coming from the kitchen, was this flash of light. I kept staring at it
because I didn't know what the heck it was! I've never seen a moving light
fly very slowly from my stove and towards the dining room. My thoughts
immediately turned to my daughter's stories of a moving light in her room.
She called it "Tinkerbell." I wondered if that was what she saw?
I continued to watch it as I just really didn't know what the heck that was.
I first noticed it coming from around my stove and then it flew into the room
where we were sitting (the dining area can look straight into the kitchen).
This light continued to move flying ever so slowly like a lightning bug. We
sure don't have them here in the winter, I thought. It seemed to bop up and
down in a wavy littlte flight pattern and was heading towards the window in
the room. Quite unexpectedly, we heard a big crash!! And when my friend
turned around, he saw sparks of lights setting off from a cabinet door lock
and the cabinet then opened up by itself! The lights continued to flash
almost like a mini display of fireworks for the 4th of July! It must have
lasted about 30 seconds and then everything stopped. The dancing Tinkerbell
light was gone, there was no more flashes of sparkling lights, and my closed
cabinet was now opened up and unlocked.
The only thing I could think of was that moving light I saw that had somehow
appeared missed the window and instead ran right into the lock on the
cabinet. Weird, because I don't know of any lights that can unlock cabinets.
I certainly can't explain this one and am still trying to figure that out.
